All of nature’s wonders — Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains, Hawaiian Islands — are the result of powerful eruptions, scrapings and the pressure of grinding tectonic plates. And we marvel at the results.
So it is with beautiful people. Life plunged them in fire until they were moldable and then hammered the hell out of them so the bent parts could be straightened. Adversity ground down the emotional boulders that created the turbulent white water and left placid pools of reasoning in its place.
Those of us who have been transformed by life shouldn’t be ashamed of the process. No one looks at the Grand Canyon and hates the Colorado River for creating hit.
